There is nothing more frustrating than getting into a routine of exercising and being stopped in your tracks by injury. It is so hard to exercise if you’re worried about leakage, or can feel your prolapse. I will show you exactly how to interpret exercise instruction so you can apply it to your unique set of circumstances.

Throughout the course, I provide tips and tricks on relevant topics, including:

  • The questions you need to ask when attending pelvic health physiotherapist. A cheat sheet has been created… so you can totally make the most of your time with them.
  • How to easily record the phases of your menstrual cycle and what to do with the information.
  • How to navigate the workplace when going through menopause.
  • Advice on how to get better quality sleep and work with your circadian rythyms.
  • Why women gain weight during menopause and how to avoid it.
  • What to do when a fitness instructor says to you “Suck your belly into your spine” (or any other instruction that you know is not going to be good for you, or your pelvic floor).

I have interviewed amazing women who are specialists on the topics of stillbirth, miscarriage, birth adversity and birth trauma. Even if you haven’t been directly affected by these experiences, you will likely know somebody who has. Module 1

Learn all the basics, from what is the True Core, to posture, diaphragmatic breathing and pelvic floor exercises.

Module 2

The leaking, the prolapse, all manner of pelvic floor dysfunction – this is the stuff I’m well known for! I will also provide a cheat sheet that can be taken to a pelvic floor health physio.

Module 3

Find out how to add pelvic floor contractions to any level of exercise. I have perfected how to teach this topic in a comprehensive way by educating 1000s of women through my mishfit™ business.

Module 4

If you’re aren’t matching your exercise with your menstrual cycle, then you are losing out my friend. But don’t stop there. You can use this knowledge to optimise your creativity, improve your relationships and so much more.

Module 5

Exercising while pregnant or post natal can be confronting or scary for some women, and I break down how to approach it with care and consideration.

This includes exercise advice for each trimester and how to assess abdominal separation.

In this module, I interview Amy Dawes from ABTA who discusses birth trauma and Lauren Hewes from Tiny Ladder on exercise after miscarriage or stillbirth.

Module 6

Learn how to reframe the narrative around menopause to be a positive and empowering experience. I provide advice on exercise and navigating weight gain for women who are peri-menopausal to post menopausal, and also interview HRT specialist Dr Fatima Khan.

Bonus

Each module includes a “We Are ChangeMakers Lesson”, which incudes practical strategies on how to implement the learning into every day life. This helps to ensure the training becomes embedded in reality and creates real and lasting change.

Incontinence and prolapse will not kill you.

I am years away from menopause and/or not really interested in pregnancy or postnatal, is this course still worth doing?

Absolutely! The majority of the information given is based on a female body – no matter what age or stage they are at. The modules that are dedicated to topics such as menopause, periods or pregnancy / postnatal contains information that all women should know. It sorts fact from fiction and will enable you to share valid information to other women who may be experiencing these things.

About Mish

I have been at the forefront of driving change in how women are trained and promoting the importance of Allied Health and fitness working together to create more effective health models for women.

I have developed a number of courses (EVEolution™, mishfit mothers™ and mummy sweat™). I created and delivered the matching training programs, manuals and workshops for fitness professionals to deliver these programs consistently in their own fitness businesses.
